G Bernard Shaw My Life Experience

As the one time youngest Custodian of a National Trust Historic House, for eight very special years I was the Custodian of playwright, George Bernard Shaw’s home Shaw’s Corner where I personally welcomed over 176,639 visitors into Bernard Shaw’s Country residence, the Old Edwardian Vicarage in sleepy Ayot St Lawrence in Hertfordshire, re named Shaw’s Corner by Shaw’s friendly village neighbours .  The majority of those very nice visitors were so enthralled at how I, a young married woman of 28 years of age whose heart beats profoundly for this dead playwright, managed to get my dream come true to live in my idols home taking custodial position of all the artifacts Shaw left for the nation.  I am saddened that many of those lovely charismatic people are by time passing, no longer with us on this strange spinning planet we call earth. But to me each and every one of those special people remains within me as they made my eight years at Bernard Shaw’s home extra special by sharing their warmth, love, enthusiasm for Shaw and their fascinating life experiences with me. So this is for all of you with my love 🖤
